Funded by AHRC Impact Acceleration Account · 2025–2026 · AI, Ancient History, Avatars.

Chris presenting the AI in Antiquity project to trainee teachers at the Classical Association's Exploring AI in the Classics Classroom event (Senate House, University of London. February 2026).

AI in Antiquity — building on the Virtual Reality Oracle (VRO) project — was a collaboration with Prof. Esther Eidinow (Classics and Ancient History, Bristol) and Charisma AIhttps://charisma.ai. We created classroom-ready recreations of ancient sites where students can talk to and learn from virtual characters who inhabit them.
