- Ancient History • Virtual Reality
A virtual reality recreation of divination at the ancient oracle of Zeus at Dodona.
The Virtual Reality Oracle was an AHRC-funded collaboration between researchers at Bristol, Bath, and King's College London. The project combined archaeology, history, psychology, and neuroscience to build an accessible VR experience of visiting the ancient oracle of Zeus at Dodona, c. 465 BCE. The project also explored VR's role in classrooms and museums, and investigated sensory processing and brain activity during VR use.
Partners: Friday Sundae Studios, King's College London, University of Bath & University of Bristol.
